Use fabric scraps, a simple hand stitching technique, and your imagination to create colourful, one-of-a-kind quilts. Supplies provided but feel free to bring any of your own fabric scraps you would like to use.

Have a sweater in your mending pile with holes or a missing button and not sure how fix it? This workshop will take you through the basics of doing an invisible mend using Swiss darning, how to properly sew a button on a knitted garment, and how to wash a wool sweater. Bring your own sweater and yarn to work with, or practice on a damaged garment from our ReStore with our supplies. Participants should be comfortable threading and manipulating a hand sewing needle. Knitting experience is helpful but not required.
