Fashion Show / Silent Auction & Fundraiser !

GIRO’s Cradle-2-Cradle Threads circular economy textile initiative is hosting our first big event at the Gabriola Commons on Sunday August 22, 1-4pm.

Tickets now available at GIRO and North Road Sports. Only 5$ ! Seating is limited, so get yours today for the GIRO fashion event of the season!

Got kids, kid friends, grand-kids? We have a tent just for them. Sunday August 22nd at the Gabriola Commons from 1-4.

Everyone interested in repurposing C2C Threads textile `waste` is invited to come and get material to help create masterpieces for the fashion show.   During July, you can select fabric from our waste stream for $2 a bag from our tent in front of the GIRO Restore.

Clothing you make will be modelled at the fashion show by our enthusiastic Catwalk Team !   Your creations will be sold in a silent auction with 50% going to the designer and 50% going to C2C Threads.   Everyone is welcome to participate !

C2C is Fundraising !

As part of its C2C project, GIRO plans to build a textile-repurposing building. We have applied for and received two generous grants, but we are fund-raising for the final details of the maker-space building: the purchase of hand tools, shop supplies and functional furniture. You can help !
