GIRO is moving to SUMMER HOURS

Wed. July 1st – Wed. Sept. 2nd
The last few years have seen some sharp increases in summer temperatures here on Gabriola which has made working conditions for GIRO staff and volunteers more challenging. In summer the temperatures on the dock by mid-afternoon (in the shade) can reach 42ºC!

To help our staff manage the heat we will have new summer hours starting Wednesday, July 1st. The depot (which includes the store) will be open from 8:30am – 3pm with the drive-in gate closing at 2:30pm.

Please make a note of this time change and we hope to see you bright and early! We thank you in advance for your cooperation and support.
