A key change established by these Bylaws is the transition to a calendar year membership (i.e. January 1 to December 31). Consequently, all current memberships will expire on December 31, 2017.
To renew your membership for 2018, please submit
- a completed membership renewal form, and
- your annual dues of $2 per person.
The membership renewal form and dues must be received by GIRO on or before December 31, 2017. This may be done by mail or by turning it in at the GIRO depot.
Please note: As of December 31, if your renewal form has not been received by us, your membership will expire. However, the Bylaws do provide a 3-month grace period (i.e. January 1, 2018 to March 31, 2018) during which time you may renew your membership as a “previous member”.
If, however, you have not submitted the renewal form to us before April 1, 2018, membership may only be re-established by applying as a new member. These applications must then go to the Board of Directors for approval.
